    Top of the Pops 1964-75

Just watching TOTPs on BBC4 and realising how lucky we were and how amazing the music was. Took it all for granted at the time! Can remember stomping along to The Dave Clark Five at the Cobweb in Hastings/St Leonards. Amazing that we didn’t crash through the floor.

Shem - so true! Those pop shows - TOTP, and right back to Six-five Special and Juke Box Jury were required viewing for us, weren't they. So was trying to listen to the latest hits on Radio Luxembourg and Radio Caroline in the days when the BBC thought pop music was the invention of the devil!

"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Stumbled upon a tv station called Keep it Country on a Sunday night at 8 pm and also on a Tuesday morning, but not completely sure of the time as we record that one. It’s about 2am I think.
It is on channel 376 on Sky , it’s on Freeview but I don’t know the number. Don’t worry if you Country music isn’t your type of music ( I’m not a fan of it ) as it plays early pop music of the 50’s , 60’ and 70’s .
There is a request slot which you can access via the internet.
If you like a good mix of artists , Shemadee , Dave Clark 5 we’re on the other night , you should enjoy it. Elvis, the Beatles, Rolling Stones , Doris Day , Joe Brown and the Walker Brothers to name but a few have all been on
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I think the 60's was the best time for music.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I love these programmes , lately if nothing of interest on TV I have put my headphones on and been watching the old American bandstand's on You Tube ,
Have to giggle at some of the dancing mind especially the men , all legs and arms that they don't know what to do with ,
Really good music and its good to remember the old Groups and singers , that's when you could understand the words ,

Also been watching The Jersey boys
Im not fat just 6ft too small
