    Chelsea Flower Show

Will anybody else be watching this this week? They showed some of the gardens tonight, but some of them seem more like re-creations of something else, rather than gardens. There was one amazing 'garden' which was a canal complete with a working lock!

I love the Floral marquee, and try to imagine all the scents of the flowers. It's really huge (the size of 2 football pitches, I think they said) and one year when we went there was the most incredible display of varieties of strawberries and the scent of them filled the whole hall.

Awww, sorry to have missed it. Am I right in thinking Kate Middleton (can't remember all their titles)made a garden this year? When I watch it I wish our tv had smelly-vision.πŸ’πŸŒΈπŸ΅πŸŒΉπŸ₯€πŸŒΌπŸŒ»πŸŒ·πŸŒΊ

Nana - it hasn't started yet. Yesterday was just the preview. Today is press day, Tuesday the results of the judging and Wednesday it opens to RHS members, then it's open to the public. It's on tv all week! Yes, smelly vision would be great!

You're right about KM - she did a garden in conjunction with a couple of professional garden designers.

Gem - yes I have been - it's absolutely wonderful!

I have been watching the previews , they give a very different idea of what you actually see . When you are there you can just look into the garden and if it as crowded as usual you don't get time to really see stuff , especially the large gardens . I was there a couple of times , second time we just went to the small gardens , a bit like walking round a street and looking over the hedge , I did enjoy it both times , but you do sort of see more on TV , but the scents are missing lol

I went with my DD one year, loved it. We had to come out of the big marquee as the fragrant smells were getting to my DD. Would love to go again

I can imagine the lovely scents
I went to the Ideal Home Exhibition years ago and enjoyed that. The smells there were mainly food though!
