I am interested in this upcoming series.
I am a fan of Suranne Jones, and one of DD1's oldest friends is in a couple of episodes.
He told me all about it at GS1's birthday party last year. I had never heard of Anne Lister until he told me, so am keen to see this and find out more.

On a similar theme Alesha Dixon went to the school my GC currently attend.Last week she went to an amateur production of a farce in the local village hall as her grandmother was in the cast.Not exactly red carpet stuff.

I have just finished the book Gentleman Jack, based on Anne Lister's diaries. It covers a few years beyond the end of the series, until the end of Anne's life. I think there will be another series .
I discovered that the church where Anne and Ann had their form of marriage is in York. I know it well. Apparently a couple of years ago they put a plaque there about this. Next time I am in town I will take a photo.
