    When J was a baby we would sing , You are my Sunshine to get him to sleep
    With O it was Two little boys had two little toys , he would be fast asleep by second verse every time
    Im not fat just 6ft too small

      Not for my daughters, but for my granddaughter I used to sing the Iggle Piggle song from In The Night Garden to her, with my own words! Instead of Yes my name is Iggle Piggle etc, it went Yes my name's Matilda Grace, with a very very pretty face.. etc

        I love the second song Daisy!
        I sang Isn't She Lovely a lot when DD1 was born, but not to get her to sleep particularly.

          I have sung for both my children and my grandchildren always seems to calm them ..

          Hush now baby don’t you cry and put grandma in instead of papa

            Gem - I always sang to the DSs when we were in the car, when I was bathing, dressing or changing them, out with them in the pram etc. Isn't She Lovely is a gorgeous song.

            Qwerty - how on earth did you remember all the words, and nice that you customised it for them.
