We watched Life at the Top with Laurence Harvey a couple of weeks ago.
Made in 1965, but we enjoyed it.

I've liked Laurence Harvey for as long as i can remember.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We caught the last 20 minutes of It's a Hard Day's Night. I had totally forgotten it was in B&W!!

Glamm - enjoy your trip down memory lane - and Matthew Street.

I love the Ealing comedies and the Carry On films. Also Room at the Top, A Taste of Honey, all those films.

Yes thank you Daisy such a good time we browsed all down Matthew Street and stopped for some refreshment at Sgt Peppers pub whilst listening to the music.
There where loads of foreign visitors taking pictures of the "60's Wall" its a brick wall with all the famous groups that had played at The Cavern and that had hits during the 60's.
We came back over on The Ferry which was full of course lots of people singing Ferry Cross the Mersey.

Glamm - a real nostalgia trip for you!

It's funny, when I was working in Liverpool in the early 70s the Mersey Sound had peaked, and although it was still hugely popular, there wasn't the white hot adoration like there was at the time of Beatlemania, but it was too soon for people to reminisce about it all. I missed out a bit, didn't I!
