This has been one of my favourite tv series of 2017/18. I've heard that it deviates from the book...more of what's considered as porn' by all accounts. It really is stomach churning how the handmaidens are used. The way of life horrific for women. The methods of torture too! Ewwww...someone remind me why I watch this.😲 I think it's because you just hope that somehow it will have a happy ending & these poor women are reunited with their families. "Praise be".

I am going to read the book Nana (which series one was based on)
My OH, having seen snatches of it cant understand why anyone would watch it. As you say it is so good and so riveting, and horrifying too.
