Oma and Clover - I was thinking exactly the same. I can remember the first thing I used Google for - we were going to Toronto and I printed off free tickets for Niagara Falls. We were still on dial up - does anybody remember the frustration of using that?

Oh, dial up!! You could hear the number being dialled then you had to wait for the connection....and you couldn't use the phone whilst you were online! Happy days .

I remember my sister was in a panic as my phone was engaged for ages and she thought I had collapsed using the phone and no one to help . she found my next door neighbours number in the book and she got her to come in , The children were online with B supervising so I had to ring her from my neighbours house to tell her why it was engaged '
What I hated most was waiting ages for dial up then it disconnecting suddenly , you had to start all over again .
