    A Christening!

We are going down south tomorrow, staying overnight (good old Premier Inn!) for OH's great nephews Christening on Sunday.
We can go months or longer without seeing any of her family, and then this is the 2nd consecutive weekend, as it was her brothers party last Saturday!
The little boy will be 2 in November. An interesting age for a Christening, not a compliant baby, but not old enough to be explained to, reasoned with or bribed

Have a lovely time, Gem. I hope the little lad enjoys the experience and all the attention.

I hope he doesn't get dipped in the font, Glamm. He'll probably think it's bath time and want his bath toys. It's reminded me though, that my FIL always used to warm the Holy water so it wasn't a shock to the baby.

I can't imagine them dipping little A in the font I imagine they just make a cross on their forehead with water. I have never been to an older child or toddlers christening so I don't really know.

Gem when my 2 eldest DGSs where Christened aged 2 &3 they both stood at the Font and had the sign of the Cross on their foreheads so there was no problems with the water they where then given small bottles of Holy Water with their Baptism Cards.Enjoy the day and your meet up with the family.

He was a very good boy actually!
The vicar sprinkled water on his head 3 or 4 times which slightly confused him but he didn't cry. He looked a little bemused the whole time they were at the font, which well he may!!
A very nice day and a couple of photos on FB for those of you on there.
