    Glamma out on The Town

This last Wednesday was my DDs 46th birthday and as we couldn't celebrate mid week due to her work schedual and my DGSs working we decided a few weeks ago to book a night in Liverpool at a Greek Restaurant for 9 of us,my DD,her boyfriend (he is a young 50) he-he and her 4 eldest boys and 1 partner (mum of my GGD) We all boarded the bus from New Brighton to Liverpool at 6pm and arrived in Town at 6.45 the Centre of Liverpool was alive with visitors and revelliers all celebrating one thing or another mainly hen & stag paties but all in good fun and anyone who tells me there is a shortage of money in the area must be going around with their eyes shut all the ladies decked out in beautiful dresses and the guys all smart and smelling delicious
We ordered a selection of Mezze Plates with hot breads and dips I have not really had Greek food before in this quantity and found it really enjoyable, then followed the belly dancing by a beautiful young lady who could turn her body in ways I had never known possible my DGSs where mesmerised and eldest DGS said he had fallen head over heels in love !! it was followed by Greek dancing and plate smashing I could't take part with having a bad leg but it was a good experience. This little restaurant is situated in the back Streets and unless you knew where to go you would never find it DDs boyfriend found review of it on line and booked online as there is no chance of getting a table unless booked weeks ahead,so a very plesent night had by all.

Glamm, as you know I love Liverpool, even though it's years since I lived there. This sounds like a gem of a restaurant to find.

It certainly sounded an experience as well as good food. I've always fancied trying Mezze dishes, but would need to go with someone "in the know"
I was only thinking the other day, I've put so much weight on around my middle I could join a Belly Dancing group. If only I could get my body to move and not just wobble.
I'll check the trains now, LOL.
Glad you had a good time Glam.
Just had a sneaky peek on the trains and it's cheap enough £12, each way, but it will take me just under 4 hours with one change, at Sheffield. Do able when I'm feeling brave enough.

Something to look forward to GJ

Any other ladies fancy a trip to Liverpool next year?

( This is an extra, not the main big meet up!)

We certainly have some hidden Gems when it comes to Restaurants the thing that stops me going more often is that the entertainment always starts late on and I am ready for my bed come 10pm I'd have to have a siesta mid afternoon to get me through the night.

We'd probably be having lunch if we went to Liverpool ladies, so don't get too excited about the Greek restaurant

Gems it would certainly be a long lunch mi dear we could go on to Matthew Street and a visit to the new Cavern and then over the Road to Rubber Soul, not very posh but full of atmosphere and friendly people, only drawer back is the hotel prices they are not the cheapest as they cater for the some of the visitors who stay over before boarding the Cruise Liners who now dock in the River
