I came across this quote today, sorry I'm a little late sharing it.

I think the lives we live in our affluent, western world protect us from the incredibly harsh reality of life for many women, whose life chances are determined at birth - lack of education and health care, early, forced marriages lack of contraception and FGM. Even here in the UK we've seen huge changes in the way women are perceived by society in our lifetimes. I hope we never take for granted the rights and freedoms that have been won for us and by us.
I also hope that one day all cultures will see men and women have equal opportunities to live their lives in the way they wish."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
