    Simple pleasures!

Today is the first day since 24 May when OH and I have both been at home, on our own, with no visitors and no commitments. As is happens to be our 48th wedding anniversary we decided on the luxury of a day at home. We've read the papers, watched a bit of tv and generally pottered round. This afternoon I went down to the allotment and picked broad beans, courgettes, an onion and some new potatoes, which all went down nicely with pork chops and a bottle of merlot.

I left the weeds for another day!

So feeling well fed, content and relaxed.

Thank you ladies. Forty-eight years does sound like a long time, but it's flown by! Nanto - I never thought about announcing it on GRUS - but I will if we make it to 50!

Clover - old married couples indeed! How did that happen.

Daisy I am so sorry, I can not believe I missed your anniversary.

Mimi, that's kind of you, thank you. I didn't really 'advertise' it, partly because we only remembered the previous evening!! 😊
