Well done to all our hard working youngsters on their exam results,my young Luke got 1 x A* 1 x A and 7 x Bs so he is all sorted for his place in 6th form and got on the course he so badly wanted. His older sister my DGD Abbie retook her maths and got a B (if you all remember last year she had a melt down and had a horrible year) but she has pulled back so well I am so proud of her.

We had no idea how our GS1 would do - as the head said, it depends which GS1 turns up on the day! But, great relief, he got everything he needed to do a BTEC First course, and two colleges had offered him places. He's pleased, and we're all very proud of him, but at the moment he's far more concerned with leaving his dog to go on a week's holiday this morning! Typical GS1. Not so good that he didn't quite hit the mark for English or Maths, but he can resit at college, which will mean he'll have a heavy timetable, but that's no bad thing while he tries to make the social adjustments from being in a school of 50 children to an FE college.

Glamm well done to both Luke and Abbie. Abbie has done so well to turn things round for herself - special congratulations to her.

Aggie - you must be very pleased for your GS. I bet he's excited about starting college.

Nanto - Well done to Rosie. She must have worked hard. What's next for her?

Daisy, I am so pleased your grandson has got into a college of his choice. Onwards and upwards. I am sure English and Maths resits won’t seem so bad second time round. Good luck for this next stage of his education journey. Well done GS1
