I may have been hacked !!

On Tuesday evening I had a message pop up on my screen telling me to phone urgently a tele number thinking it looked suspicious I didn't dare phone it as I know the drill all to well,it said if I didn't phone my other lap top & ipad could become infected which I knew was a big fat lie so lap top is now in the Propergeeks shop having diaognostics test done and I will have to wait until to-morrow or Monday for the result I am having to manage on my other lap-top,so when it comes back all fixed can anyone give me a good anti virus (free one if possible) that I can add so I have other backup in the future please.I have for precauction emtied my bank accounts registered on line so if anyone was genuinely trying their luck they are in for a shock.

I can't recommend a free anti-virus Glamm. I pay for the one I've got and it was installed by the computer guys!
However, I don't know if anyone else has noticed that this site comes up as 'not secure'. Maybe it's just my computer, but it might be worth looking at.

WG. Our site doesn't have a certificate to give it HTPPS status. but our security levels are high and if you do a search it gets a clean bill of health saying its genuine. So you're safe to carry on chatting 😁😁😁

I once had AVG (I think it was) free protection Glamma. Eventually I decided (I forget why) that I needed a paid one, so am now with Norton. The only problem with AVG was it proved impossible to get rid of! A person from Norton had to take over my computer to get it off there.

I have TalkTalk anti virus and also Barclays.

i have had four or five emails supposed to come from Barclays recently, the last two days ago, telling me my debit card has been blocked and I should click on the link to restore it. I know these are scams but I always phone the bank and check. Mind you I have also had them from Nat West and a couple of other banks where I have never held accounts. Oh and I hve recently heard from that nice prince from Nigeria again, you know the one who has inherited millions of dollars from his father and needs someone to register it in a British bank in return for lots of money. Of course it isn't a scam, it is all because of the political situation in his country.......

Well I have taken my lap-top into hospital for a health check and she will be discharged on Monday lol.The biggest problem is not being able to get into my emails as yahoo doesn't recognise my password (passwords) I got in touch with BT who is my provider and spoke to a clever man who did all my security checks and promted me with the password but it didn't work so I will have to use this older one until Monday/Tuesday.Woe is me
