    Big Brother?

I've just read this article on BBC News. I'm not sure whether I'm reassured or concerned!!

Hmmm, I got a bit lost towards the end, must read it again....and again. I suppose anything could happen with all this technology, I'm just glad I'm not glued to my phone all,the time. I do find that, if I've been searching for a particular item/place/holiday whatever I get lots of ads on FB relating to that same thing, but that's different to actually listening to me. Big Brother indeed. I sometimes think my parents would not believe some of the things we can do nowadays.

This explains why I am being bombarded with Argos ads for a new toilet sest that I viewed 2 weeks ago the ad keeps popping up every time I log on,also with other random items and mainly with holiday enquiries,I'm sure the Big Brothers of the world can listen in at a whim to everyday conversations with to-days technology its a given I would expect but they would be very bored listening to my conversations at the moment its all about paint colours and wallpaper lol.

I think I have got used to seeing ads for things I have previously looked on the web for that I am no longer surprised by it all. If Big Brother wants to listen in to my phone conversation and web browsing they are going to be extremely board with me. After all Tesco. com and taxi firms aren't that exciting .
I suppose in the age of terrorism its not really unexpected, is this the price we pay to be safe, if so that's ok by me but if its just a way of getting us to buy more 'stuff' then object to that.

I don't believe anything the BBC say Bit like the DM, they make it up as they go along! I do use Firefox which has a 'private window' facility and blocks Facebook or anyone else from putting cookies on my computer. Hence they cannot bombard me with ads as they can't see what websites I am looking at. I find that an immense relief frankly. Also blocked cookies on iPad and laptop.

As for the Smart phone I have I've honestly never come across this.
