A friend rang today asking if I could recommend a new service provider for phones and broadband. She has been having serious issues with TT and despite three one hour long phone calls to customer services nothing has been achieved. Can anyone offer any suggestions? We are with Virgin and OH is intending to look into changing once he has retired - another job to add to a very long to do list!

We are with BT for phone and Broadband , and Sky for tv , but that is because Jim made a mess and I can't bear to change again , someone with a dodgy accent rang today saying they were from .... mumble mumble ... I said what ? they answered they were in partnership with BT and my calls would be half price ! I replied how on earth can they be half of nothing , because we seem to have free local calls and all mine are local , again I asked who was she but she just mumbled again , so I said thanks for ringing and hung up . Thing is , she asked for me by name , but I am not the bill payer nor is my name anywhere on their data base , so I guess it was another scamsorry not really answering your Query Shem

Shem - it seems to be a matter of pot luck, no matter who you are with. We're with Talktalk for phone and broadband and Sky for tv, and apart from the occasional irritating phone call from them trying to get us to have a high speed package both have been ok. We'd love high speed broadband, but our local BT cabinet is too decrepit to run it, so It's a bit annoying when your provider tries to sell you something they can't actually provide. But my DS2 had endless trouble with Talktalk and switched to BT. We had switched from BT to TT when BT started charging us £5 to pay our bill.I think you've just got to look at the various packages and pick one.

We are with Virgin for phone, broadband and mobiles. Very satisfied with them, but hear others say they don't like Virgin. As Daisy says it's pot luck.
About 3 weeks ago, hubby popped into Virgin shop, to ask something about his mobile and knocked £5 a month off our monthly account.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

If it helps we are with Utility Warehouse https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/
and love them! We have everything with them and you can get through immediately on the phone, speak to someone you can understand, and things get done quickly. XXXOnly those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot
