    Facebook Legacy Contact

I know not all of you are on Facebook, and some who are use it rarely. For some of us it is a useful tool, with lots of uses.

Did you know that you can nominate someone to take charge if you die? A morbib thought maybe, but worth thinking about. I found this facility by chance, whilst checking my security settings. I have nominated my eldest daughter, whilst assuring her that I'm not dying!!
If I were to pass away, she could announce it on my page , and close the account when she felt the time was right.

To do this you go to your security settings, and it's Legacy Contact, second from the bottom of the list

Gemini - it sounds like a good idea, although none of us will need it for many years to come.

That's a good idea. I know it's morbid but we have to think about these things, will go,and have a look. ........ I don't plan on going anywhere just yet

Interesting Gem, it has crossed my mind what would happen to my page, especially as OH is not fb literate... hopefully we wont need it for another 40 years + or so....

PS Gem so tragic about that American little boy you posted about on fb. But was there any need to tell him the truth? We don't really want to tell grown ups let alone a child. So upset about the cruelty of it all...Bless him, (not god bless as he would not allow it)

                Skye I agree

My Rhode Island friend B, one of my oldest online friends, and a lovely lady, asked me to post it. So sad.
