Has anyone got a printer which is 1) reliable and 2) not too expensive on ink ????

My HP printer seem to EAT ink! Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I have an HP printer too, it used to eat ink but now doesn't because it hasn't worked for some time.

Silly Plant..........1 I have an HP 2544 which prints well. The cartridges are relatively cheap compared to some others and they last quite
a lot longer than a lot of printers. You can also link your iPad and computer to it or use it with a USB cable. I also have a Canon MP272 which is not quite as good on ink and is more expensive but it is excellent quality and fast if you are doing a lot. It also prints double sided which the HP doesn't but it isn't wireless and it is quite old now.

Maybe not in stock anymore, but I will take a look and see Zizi, thank you.

Elisi - many, many years ago when I first started teaching IT in college, the printers were always the bane of our lives. It hasn't changed!!!!

We have an HP Officejet 6600 which is operated wirelessly. I hardly ever print anything out, (from a Mac) but when I do it works fine. OH prints everything and sometimes has problems - and I'm never sure whether it's operator error, Windows error or printer error. He moans like mad about the cost of ink, but printer ink is the fifth most expensive liquid in the world! (So I've been told) If you find the printer that meets both your criteria please tell us!

I have an HP printer . I brought some ink for it today ( as mentioned on another thread ) . I usually buy the ink from eBay but today I brought it from Argos.
Although printer ink is expensive I don't think my printer uses any more ink than the first printer I ever had. It was a Lexmark printer and what a contrary, stubborn temperamental printer it was . Never again would I buy that make again .

Sorry I can't help. OH has an all singing, all dancing one from work, but complained today how quickly it seems to eat up the ink. Good luck.
