I love perfume, although I don't wear every day these days. I've got several favourites, but also like to try something new. Do I want a flowery top note, or a musky base note, or something in between? I have no idea, but I love reading the language of perfume making. It's amazing that there are expert "noses" who can tell the minute differences in fragrances.
But, my illusions have been shattered - a new fragrance can be created on a computer, using artificial intelligence! Would you feel the same about an AI-generated perfume as one created by a super-sensitive human nose?
