    Deleting phone messages

Every weekend I go through my phone and delete all messages from everything , Messenger , WhatsApp, text, emails etc , unless its something I want to show someone or appointment reminder's
B cant understand this he will say why ? But I have always done that ,
When Text first started you had to delete some messages to be able to receive new one's and I just got into the habit and never stopped .
I do keep email receipts for a while at least for a few weeks.
Im sure I cant be the only one that does this ,

You are not the only one that does this Oma, I delete messages etc, if not important. The same with e mails.

        Your not alone girls.
I like to delete emails and text messages on a regular basis.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I do it but only when I think there's too many on. Some emails I like to keep in folders. I regularly put pics in folders on my mobile then periodically take them off & put them onto an external drive. It's only recently that my DD said that keeping emails from Amazon, ebay, some selling sites etc was wasted space as they would be in my accounts. Never thought of that.🤦‍♀️😂

            I don't!
I can probably go back to texts and WhatsApps about our Birmingham trip, not just last year but the year before!!
I only delete, rubbish texts like reminders about appointments, prescription ready to collect etc.

I don't delete anything much. I might delete spam from my email if I've got nothing better to do, but that gets deleted after 30 days anyway. I delete posts from my GRU private messages because that gets full.

                  That's about it.

My OH deletes most things as soon as he's read them - then asks me for the information he now can't find.

I keep things for a while then go through and delete anything unimportant. Some things I keep for longer if I think I might need to refer to them again but then they go too. If there’s anything like an address, phone number etc I just make a note of it.

                      I don't delete, I don't think I know how to.

I delete everything when it becomes no longer relevant. Anything I need to keep long term eg holiday insurance etc., I just archive. As yet, I have never deleted anything that I have later needed, but I guess there will be a time when I think “Oh no, why did I delete that!”

My friend here in the apartment block, she is the one with alzeimers, 2 years ago she came up to me with her iphone, her daughter and family were on holiday in France and she liked to use Whatsapp but couldn't as she didn't have enough capacity on her phone, well, it took me almost 3 days to sort it out! E mails, texts, films, messages and photo's, she had them all copied 3 or more times over! Then again on her ipad (cloud). I managed to sort it out for her and when it was sorted we were sat talking and she asked if I would like to see her holiday photo's, she had been to Greece. I thought, well I have seen them all time and time again whilst deleting them.
