    How do you use GRU?

When I come onto this site the first thing I do is look at my messages, then I go onto chat to say hello to everyone.

After that I go onto the menu (blue bars on the left hand side) & go to 'New Topics'. Yesterday I went through the 1st page, (which were all games to play) thinking there'd be a second page etc but it stopped there. Now there aren't any at all. In the past there have been pages & pages.

Have I done something wrong to make them disappear? It was the best way for me to catch up on the posts I missed for whatever reason. Made it quicker than going all through the Forum bullet points.

This has made me curious as to how you check in on what's happening on GRU.

I read Messages first then chat then I scroll down to see what catches my eye. Sometimes like today I just pop in and out and don't read much but that's when I'm not feeling sociable I'm afraid. No one wants to hear my moans I'm sure
Im not fat just 6ft too small

The first place i go to is chat. Then just browse to see what has been posted.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I go to New Topics (top left next to Whose Online) first and go through those, replying if A I have time, and B I have something to add.

I then go to the Admin section and check we have no interlopers, or even nicer, actual potential new members!
I check the Games section for any that are lagging behind. Sometimes I go to our other 'fun' sections, the Tea Rooms and Granny's rest.
As I am on here so often, New Topics catches everything since I was last on.

Nana, I have no idea why there are less New Topics than there should be. Puzzling! Even if you quickly look at them they go of course, and don't reappear on that list until someone else posts.
Another way is go to Latest Topics, on the right. Click on View All and a lot of threads will appear.

I go to New Topics, then chat followed by new subjects. I usually go on later and play the games.

I go to new topics and sometimes comment on the most recent ones. I often play the games too.

Miserable, happy, sad, elated, angry ....they're feelings we all have. Nothing wrong with having any of them Gem.πŸ˜‰

Quite right Nana. If you don’t acknowledge the miserable or sad times, how can you expect to fully appreciate the happy and good times.

I'm with you on that one Sunshine. It's good to have a positive attitude but sometimes there seems to be pressure from some groups who frown on people with negative attitudes/thoughts. Clinical depression & anxiety is hard to understand by the person who suffers from it, never mind someone who doesn't.

(Maybe this should be on another thread.πŸ˜‰)
