    Uploading Photos

Never had a problem before, but I cannot upload from my own albums on my iPad to here now. I can use the camera icon on this site but that seems to be the only way to share here. Anyone else had the same?

I tried putting a photo on last week and it didn't work.
Maybe just a glich. It might correct itself.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

When I choose ‘browse’ to upload from my photos I get a page headed ‘browse’ with no options to get to photos! Very odd. Have googled but no joy. Had a look at my settings, all looks the same. I am mystified.

I just click on the camera emblem thingy and it says upload or select from photo album. Then I click on Photo Library instead of browse. Maybe that’s it.

I only add photos from my laptop and click the camera icon then browse.

Enfys you are correct! I am sure I used to click on browse, but thinking about it maybe that was uploading on EBay! But now I only get a link and not the pic on my post. I WILL solve it, I will. 🤨

Ladies - I very rarely use my iPad to upload photos, and I can't remember for sure, but I think I upload using the camera icon and save under Media. You can then transfer it to a post if you wish.

I'll charge up my iPad and have a go!

By the way - remember you can't link directly from images on Face Book. You have to go back to where the photos originate (provided they're not copyright).

Oma - are these photos you have taken yourself (or Mr Oma's) or are they photos off the internet in general?

If you've taken them yourself (ie you know 100% certain that you own the copyright) it should be straightforward.

Edit: Haha - I know you took that one, Oma! I think the problems are arising with photos from links etc??

Just taken a pic of my cat with my iPad. I will see if I get a pic or a link now. The 4711 was taken using the camera icon on here but came up as a link which only I could open!
                        Here goes...
well that seems to have worked. Hurrah!
All very odd, but thank you for your input ladies.

I prefer to take the photo from my own iPad library so I can crop it.

BGrauntie - I usually do that, because I often have to resize them - 2Mb is the forum limit. Also they often look a bit darker when they're uploaded on here, so I lighten them a bit as well.

I don't know how Windows photo software works, but I don't think it's very different from the Mac, and sometimes a couple of tweaks makes quite a difference. You can play about with the sliders in the histogram (the graph thingy) and if you don't like the changes you just cancel them.
