A sad time for everyone in the family at the moment Daisy. But I'm sure they will soon be able to look back on all the fun they had. That's the trouble with pets, we love them so much that when they leave it's it's so hard. We just have to concentrate on all the good times xx

Thank you everyone. I'm feeling very sad - I looked after Midge a lot and always took him for a walk if I was at their house. I brought GD2 over to our house this morning, and Eva came out onto the drive and went straight round to the back of the car expecting Midge to be there! You can't explain to a dog, can you.

I'm also tired and that doesn't help - I need an early night. Thank you again everyone for your care and concern. DS2 and DIL also send a big thank you. xx

Daisy, very sad indeed, your GD's way of making it right for her is very brave, as you all are, sending hugs and hoping you did manage to have an early night, and get some sleep, must be so hard at the moment for you all ...xx

Pearl - thank you for your kindness. I did get a good night's sleep (sorry, Wide Awakers!) and with the hairdressers this morning, followed by dog training, I haven't had much time to dwell on things. DS and DIL were very busy at work as well, which meant they didn't have time to think either.

I don't envy you your sleep one little bit. You sound exhausted Daisy. The rest will do you the world of good.😴

Nana - you're very kind. I don't often get that exhausted, but we haven't had a proper holiday for ages and I always find winter drags on too long. I need my dose of sunshine.

Daisy you do need a holiday, wonder woman you may be but you need to chill for a spell and be spoilt.
