    Feeling a bit sad

We know when we take on our pets and give our hearts to them that they are with us for a relatively short time, but today I'm feeling sad - it's 2 years today since we said a tearful farewell to Rusty. He was nearly 14 and had had a very active happy life. He was a little monkey - a proper 'character' who was always making us laugh - or tear our hair out.

He's on the left in the photo.

Aww, Daisy, of course you feel sad. I was fond of both your little dogs, and shed a tear when you had to say goodbye to them
            (((Hugs))) from me too

Thank you everyone. I've spent the evening cuddling Eva, who has been terrified for the third night in a row by the fireworks, and telling her about Rusty. Stupid, I know!

Aww, I understand that Daisy. When I got my 2 cats who are now 17, I used to tell them about their 'brother' - my beloved ginger cat who died a few months previously.

Completely understand Daisy. They leave a great hole in your heart when they have to leave us. I still think of dogs we have owned and long gone. Anniversaries are always hard.Big (((hug))).
I hope these darn fireworks are finished now and poor Eva can enjoy her dinner on time.
