    Doggy Shampoo.

During the last week of my holidays we went to visit the kennels where Poppy usually stays when we are away, they also have a huge garden centre and all sorts of collars leads etc,I can't resist cute pink harnesses and leads but this time my eye was taken with their display of doggy shampoo's and the like now Poppy has a lot of white in her colouring and for some strange reason she always looks
dirty even just a few days after going to be groomed I found a shampoo for white coated dogs the brand was called "Animology" and they had all kinds of treatments ie: itchy skin/flea shampoo/etc I said to John I bet that costs an arm and a leg but was so surprised it was only £4.99 for a really good sized bottle and yesterday we did the deed and she was showered using the shampoo and wow what a difference it has made she looks totally transformed it has conditioner included and has made her fur so soft and fluffy and a stunning white so anyone wanting to give it a try I would really reccommend it ,she has just gone out with John for her morning walk so I can't promise what colour she will be when she gets back.

What a posh and pampered little doggy

At least if Poppy come back grubby, she has her whitening shampoo!

Glam, that sounds just the job to keep Poppy looking glam. 😉😍

I used to use my (human) conditioner on Rusty and Clyde. It worked a treat on getting tangles out of their very fine Yorkie hair . The things we do for our dogs. 😍

Mine gets bathed with Johnsons baby shampoo, I now just give his coat a good brush when it dries. Bathing him too much would lower the oils in his coat I was told, and to be honest mines a mud magnet. I did buy a spray from pets at home for freshen ups but he was allergic to it poor pooch.

LG - I haven't bathed Eva at all yet. Yes, she gets muddy, but it wipes off with a dry towel and a quick brush for really sticky mud. As you say, you can dry the oils out of their coats very easily, but with R&C they really did need regular baths - about every 2 or 3 weeks - to keep them in good condition, even though we kept them trimmed quite short.

Our pooch is off to the 'dog hair salon' tomoro. He's ok when he's in there but OH has to carry him over the threshold. It's hilarious. If he gets yucky after a towel dry & brush at home we use the doggy wipes. The only time he has a shower at home is if he finds a rotting fox or rabbit & rubs his back up & down in it. Must be the best smell on earth to dogs

Nana - it's hard to clean both the stain and the smell off, isn't it! I'm sure your doggy will come back looking very smart.

I'm still waiting to see what perfume Eva likes best. She totally ignore horse manure (lots of that where we live!), deer droppings and other unidentifiable plops of you-know-what. I'm sure we'll find out one day though.

I always bathe our miniature poodle before I clip her and use human shampoo with conditioner combined, fortunately we have a downstairs wet room which is ideal.

I wish that we could trim our dog ourselves. At the doggy salon they also trim his nails & clear his gland. These two things I just wouldn't attempt to do.
