Well the pup is in trouble again SIL paid £35 yesterday on a new harness for him DD said he didn't like putting it on for some reason , they got up this morning and it was in bits in his bed he had chewed lumps out of it , I think he was telling them he was in no way wearing it 😲 DD said it was her fault for leaving it out but Pups are pups and they will chew SIL is furious but can't do anything about it and dog laying there wagging his tail 😀

Oma - I sympathise! We've just bought a new harness for Eva and it was an eye watering £40 for her size. It's great because it comes in 3 parts, which can be replaced separately, so it fits really snugly and she's much calmer on the lead with it because it's so comfortable. But we'll have to remember to keep it out of her reach, just in case!
I hope those puppy eeys have melted your SIL's heart and he's fogiven him!

Daisy Storm is really good in a harness I think it makes them feel safe but he didn't like this one , he's fine with his old one but he's growing so much it's getting too tight . As SIL said what could he do the dog is so daft he has no idea he did anything wrong .
Their garden has gone from a flower filled haven to a mud pit with holes dug everywhere and he's chewing the edge of the decking. In the spring they are having it completely renewed and plastic grass put down with no boarders 😊Im not fat just 6ft too small

I kept telling the children not to leave things in the dog's reach when he was a puppy. Told them it would be their fault if he chewed things. Bought myself a pair of Clarks shoes and left them at the bottom of the stairs and he chewed one shoe to pieces. So annoying to have one perfect shoe and one totally wrecked.xx

Oma my best friends vet advised them not to have plastic grass as any germs from the dog when it has been to the toilet cannot be safely sanitised and could become a health risk for children if they play on it then touch their eyes it may be better to get doggy to training school and teach to not dig up the garden and to toilet in one place only, sorry to be a misery as the plastic lawns do look very effective when down. Its something I had never thought off.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Shem - that reminds me when Rusty and Clyde were at the chewing stage (actually Rusty was always at the chewing stage!) and Rusty completely chewed the strap of a sandal - and we couldn't find it anywhere in the house. Eventually nature took its course and we found it in the garden with a pile of you-know-what! It amazed me that such a tiny dog could cope with such a wide piece of leather with no ill effects!
Eva is now starting to play rough with her 'babies' - the ones she cherished when she had the phantom pregnancy. We found one with a chewed off head, another with appendages like ears and legs missing. At least it means she recovered!
Glamm - I hadn't thought about that with plastic lawns, but I would have worried about the dog pulling bits out and chewing and swallowing them.
Oma - that's what we've found with Eva's new harness - she seems to feel safe with it and it's well padded but strong. This is what it is:
PerfectFit Harness with front ring option - modular design offers 39 different sizes to fit tiny dogs to giant breeds
Nanto - you're right!
