A birthday carrot

Today is our DS2's dog's birthday. He had to wait till this evening for his present, but I think he thought it was worth it. He absolutely loves carrots (real ones) and even hearing the word has him shooting off into the kitchen, in hope. It's such a trigger for him that the family no longer use the word carrot, but use the phrase "that orange vegetable". Anyway, when Eva goes to stay there I always put a few of her toys in her bag, including an enormous stuffed "santa carrot" which has seen better days, and Cooper loves that as well.

So he was overjoyed this evening when he opened his present from the GDs!

I know someone else whose dog likes carrots as a treat, I'm racking my brains to remember who!

Oma, he's such a character. He's 40 kg of pure muscle but loves to carry big soft toys around. He look and sometimes sounds, fearsome, but he's a huge softie.

Gem, some people use frozen carrots when puppies are teething, and I think they get a taste for them. It's a nice healthy snack and lots of dogs like vegetables anyway. Eva will sometimes eat melon peel/skin but nothing else.
