    Officially adopted kittens!

Today was a big day for our kittens, Poppy and Moses.
We returned to the Rescue we got them from for their second dose of vaccine, and to be microchipped, checked over again and formally adopted

The fee we have paid includes neutering, which will be done early next year.
No more jabs until next November.

Welcome to the family little kittens, we all love you already

Clover, I'm sorry you can't see the photos - we keep trying to find out why this is - it's nothing obvious, but hidden deep in the software I suppose.

Gem, congratulations to you and S on becoming official cat parents. They are gorgeous, and I wonder if their personalities are starting to show themselves yet?

              Thank you ladies

Daisy, Moses seems a little more 'cuddly' so far, and Poppy tries to take our food

A little more about them -

They were born on August 6th.
Their mum was brought in to rescue by a neighbour who realised a family had moved out and left her living in the garden , heavily pregnant.
She gave birth to her 5 kittens within hours.
She developed mastitis so the kittens had to be bottle fed from 6 weeks to allow her to recover. Which maybe explains why they are so fond of humans.

Mum recovered well and was neutered, vaccinated and given a new home.
All 5 kittens were healthy and all gone to good homes.

Gem, poor mum, being abandoned like that, but I think both dog and cat rescues (and other animals) are amazing in how they care for these needy animals. I'm glad the kittens' mum is ok and rehomed to hopefully someone who would never ill-treat or abandon her. And we know at least 2 of her beautiful kittens have got an amazing loving and caring home.

Poppy obviously has her eye on the main chance - food! and how lovely that Moses is so cuddly. I wonder if Poppy will become more cuddly as well. My DIL1's cat, Scully, who they've had from a kitten, has never been very cuddly, but now, aged 10 she appreciates human company and when we were looking after her when DS1 was so ill she started to bond with me. It probably helped that Eva wasn't there, but she would come and have a cuddle - and also tell me off if I dared to put her food in the wrong place!
