Grauntie, the image of Bess barking at the church bells made me smile. What did she do with the shoe eventually?

Eva has just sat patiently at the back door while I spent about an hour watering the garden. When I'd finished I let her out and gave her a shower, which she loves. She chases the jets of water (and I'm careful to make sure she doesn't drink it) and has even been known to switch the hosepipe on on her own! Meanwhile, our visiting Collie just wandered off into the house, totally disinterested.

I have spent a long time searching for kittens!
Today we visited and reserved these two

They are with their 3 siblings in a cat rescue. They need their first vaccinations, and final vet check and microchipping before we take them home. If all well after 4 weeks we can then adopt them. We should be able to bring them home in about a weeks time.

I chose the little calico female, so let OH choose the other. I would have had trouble choosing one from the remaining 3 who were available!

Gem, they are heart-meltingly gorgeous. I think you've both chosen well, and I bet you can't wait to get them home. I know you have a name in mind for the little girl, but have you decided on the other name yet (a little boy?)

They have both got lovely markings on their faces - it really gives them character.

It's very sad that they've started their life in rescue, but presumably with their mum, but their lucky star is shining, and they've certainly fallen on their cute little paws coming to you and S.

I know Oma, fancy him not liking cats!

Daisy, I chose the female cat and her name so let OH choose the other. I think his name is to be Leo. OH seems pretty set on that at the moment.

We saw another litter of younger kittens, all mewing and climbing up the wire walls of the pen! Very cute , adventurous and noisy. They are not ready for rehoming yet as they need more socialising etc, and are not old enough for their first vaccinations.

I don't know why but on certain sections it appears only Admin and Mods can see photos. That is not our intention, we want you all to see them!
We haven't been able to solve the problem I'm afraid.
I will post the kitten photos on Chat.

The boy kitten's name may be Moses... I think Dominic is cute (and my Italian grandfather's name) It's OH's choice though as I chose the girl's name.

For those who cant see the photos here, you will find them on Chat, October 15th

Poppy and Moses came to live with us yesterday.

All going well so far. They are eating, sleeping, using the litter tray and playing.
In the week between first meeting them and bringing them home, Moses is noticeably bigger than his sister!

Gem, they sound like happy, healthy kittens and I'm pleased they seem to be settling down so quickly. Perhaps Poppy will have a 'teenage' growth spurt and catch up with her brother.
