    Kitty daycare

Today we are looking after DD3's cat Suki, as they are moving house.
I collected her this morning with litter tray, bed, toys, food dishes etc.
She is in the back bedroom. I stayed with her for the first half hour, and she ate some food and had a good look around the room. She then went under the sofa bed, (where our cat likes to go sometimes) so I have left her in peace for now. I will keep checking on her.
If we didn't have a cat of our own we could let her have the run of the house, but to be honest she may feel more secure in one quiet closed room.

Someone will collect her at some point to go to her new home
She will have more space in the house and nice garden so once settled she will be very happy in her new home I'm sure.

Gem I think the safeness of a quiet room is best for her she won’t get so stressed and it’s only for a short while 😁x

Gem, I've never had a cat but I know they often take a little while to settle in a new home. Will your DD have to keep her in the house for a while until she settles down?

We've never been able to manage to farm out dogs when we have moved, and somehow or other they've been ok. But I think dogs are more concerned about their family and food dish than their environment.

Awww bless her. I bet she wonders what a matter.
Hope she doesn't take too long to settle in her new home.

She was a very good girl and we took her to the new house in the end, at about 8pm.
A day at Grandma's, followed by another car ride to a brand new home, to be followed soon by a new baby!!

Mind you this cat adapted fine to living with someone else for a whole year when DD and SIL were in Canada, then adapted back to living with them again when they came back.
I think she will cope 😊

Daisy, yes cats must be kept inside for at least a week or two.

Suki sounds like a very obliging and adaptable kitty, bless her.
