Is Your OH An Animal Lover?

DH and I sit and read the newspapers on our tablets and share interesting stories. I found one about a man that had been found dead (yes not a cheerful story) from asphyxia with his head stuck in a rabbit hole. It turns out he was out hunting rabbits with his dog and his ferrets on New Years Day and never came back. I was relating this to DH and his immediate question was: "Did they find the dog and the ferrets okay?" Just what I would expected from him. He was so relieved when I told him that the dog was tied to a tree nearby and the ferrets were still in the sack and were fine.

BL - that made me laugh! I only saw the headlines on this sad tale and I have to confess my first thought was had the dog bolted down the rabbit hole and got stuck as well!

Your OH is obviously an animal lover - or like my OH, likes to know the details. He hates having any loose ends in a story or news item. A typical example - GS2 went to Cub camp over half-term. When I mentioned it to OH he said ' where? "Cub camp" I repeated. OH (slightly impatiently) "Yes, I heard that, but where is the camp?" Obviously I didn't know, hadn't asked, never even thought about the details!

Daisy I am just the same as your OH I have to ask questions when told part of a story. My DH does not bother asking and it drives me mad. I always want MORE INFORMATION. I often say, "How could you not have asked that question?" He just looks amazed that I would think of it. Chalk and Cheese.

Funny this question came up.I posted this morning, about hubby and animals. He's not really an animal lover, although he loves the birds that come into the garden.Looks after them like a mother.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I like having animals around but I couldn't claim to be an animal lover.

My OH loves all sorts of Animals but Cats and any kind of Rodents , wouldn't hurt them but wouldn't have them in the house , Thing about this story is the fact he was using Ferrets to catch the Bunnies , im not against hunting for food but if your going to do that make it a clean quick death like shooting it not kill it with Ferrets or snares , and what did he have his head down a hole for he wouldn't be able to see anything anyway , where was his hands? couldn't he scrape away the soil around his head ? See these are questions I would want to know OH would say well he had his head in a hole that's all you need to know
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Apparently his head was in the hole and all of his torso and arms were outside. Sounds bazaar doesn't it Oma. I don't really get why people go out for rabbits because most people do not eat wild rabbit these days and I cannot imagine why they would want to kill if there is no real need of food.
