    Mrs Doolittle

We are now calling our DD Mrs Doolittle ,
Honestly that woman rescues anything and everything ,

In the past few month its been A crow with a injured wing she called Russel ( Russel Crow )

A pigeon with a hurt foot

A mouse that got caught in next doors sweet pea netting (her neighbour was terrified of it)

    2 Hedgehogs on different occasions

A Hamster that had escaped and GS found

    A Rabbit again escaped

Then tonight she came to pick Storm up and as she was getting into the car she noticed a Big Bee on the street that was sort of running and hopping
Obviously tired or dying but she wouldn't move the car incase she ran over it ,
So I ended up getting it onto some paper to move it to safety so she could drive away ,
She wanted to put it in a tub and take it home , I had to convince her its nest could be near by so she couldn't take it away

As it Happens the wasp nest in next doors porch turns out to be Bees so more likely it was from there ,

We call her house the Zoo as she always has not only her own animals but any of her friends Animals if they go away etc ,
That's besides all the birds she feeds daily

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Dr Doolittle is certainly a good name for her.

Last night hubby called me into the back porch, where there was a spider.
I picked up one of his gardenig shoes(hubby's not the spiders) to whack it.
But hubby picked it up and put it outside.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Oma - the injured birds and animals must gravitate towards her, knowing they will get help!

      Nanto - I always put spiders outside - I couldn't kill them.

We've had several exhausted bees in our kitchen recently so I now have a little bowl of sugar syrup ready for them, with a cocktail stick to use as a dropper. I put a few spots as close to the bee's head as I can get without touching it, and then when it starts to drink I put a bit more out. Within 5 or 10 minutes they are revived and ready to go!

        Aww bless her Oma
She reminds my of my mums oldest sister. None of her siblings had pets, apart from us with cats, which I think was my dad's idea.
This auntie was like your DD though. She had dogs and cats of her own and always had a variety of sick or injured birds and animals she was nursing!

        We put spiders outside too.

When my eldest son had his paper round as youngster he would bring alsorts home with him safely snuggled up in his paper bag, poorly cats/ grass snakes once ( he got short shrift with that one) he even brought home a little Yorkie who he was convinced was lost or abandoned who was only out for a morning stroll not far from his house the owner was so thankful when after reading his address tag I took him home.I lost count of the many birds he has brought home to be nursed back to health.

Glamm that reminds me of my late sister ,
she always wanted a Yorkie and several times she brought one home insisting it had followed her and had no home ,
My mother would make her return them and she would cry her eyes out and feel hard done by not being able to keep one

Plant - I've been wondering why we've got so many bees coming in through the kitchen door, and after watching them in the garden I think we must be on some kind of Bee Flight Path, and we tend to leave the back door open all the time in good weather. They just hurtle in at speed. When they get out again I've noticed they position themselves to carry on in much the same direction.

I did wonder if the attraction is the lavender plants in the front garden which are in full flower and covered in bees.

Oma - I can remember odd times when I was a child when I didn't have a dog, and I would look at every dog I passed wondering if it was homeless and I could have it.
