    Another sad goodbye

This morning we said goodbye to DD2's cat.
She was a beautiful adorable ragdoll cat.

She was 18 and went downhill very quickly. I saw her last Sunday and could see a big difference in her. She went to the vet's this morning.
GD and GS will be so sad.

    Bless her beautiful soul.💗

Not a good week for cats in our family ☹️

Sad days indeed Gem! But she had a good long life and I'm sure you all have happy memories of her. Sending love to you all xx

Gem, I'm very sorry to hear this. You must all be so sad to lose such a grand old girl. How are GD and GS taking it? They have never known their home without her, and it must be a shock and sadness for them. Sending you all hugs. xxx

                Thank you everyone.

                A very tearful day here.

GS doesn't know yet. They will tell him tomorrow.
GD was expecting it but is very sad. I gave her £5 tonight instead of her usual £1.50 pocket money. I just wanted to do something to make her happy.
I am painting a stone with their cat's name on for their garden.

Gem - that's a lovely idea to have a painted stone as a little memorial. I'm sure the extra pocket money cheered her up a little - perhaps not so much today, but if she goes out and treats herself to something.

I think it's very hard to know how to tell children about such things. xxx

So sad. We give our hearts to these animals. But she was greatly loved and that’s all we can ask.
