This is Tallulah my DD cute but naughty cat , she sat in hear for almost 1 hour yesterday , DD tried closing door thinking she would cry to come out but she didn't she just sat looking out of the door , DD said now shes going to have to check where she is every time she puts the washer on now just incase

She certainly is a daft cat - doesn't she know her colour will run if she ends up in a hot wash! Joking apart, yes, you really do have to check before loading the machine. Let's hope she finds a safer way of being naughty soon.

I suppose to her it's a safe enclosed place to be.

I had a cat which did that, but only in its kitten days! Do you know Oma, even now when I hear any squeak when the washing is going round I peer in worried I have somehow trapped a cat in with the washing

What a cutie! She looks very content in there, she can survey her kingdom without being snuck up on! Pets bring a lot of laughter to our lives don't they!

She is as sweet as anything but a devil for ripping paper up even trying to strip the wallpaper off , if she sees a little bit lifted off the wall she will try pulling at it , looks like butter wouldn't melt doesn't she

Funny how cats prefer small snug places that's why people have those igloo beds sometimes. Unfortunately many cats each year come to grief (especially kittens) by getting into the washing machines not to mention tumble dryers and into the engines of cars! Someone I know took both her six month old kittens for a long ride on top of the car engine - they were very lucky and survived the ordeal. Dogs seems more sensible

Bizzy they do like enclosed areas DD has those igloo beds but Buzz likes to sit in the covered Cat litter tray watching the world go by and Tallulah sits in a shoe box, when shes not eating it that is Same with there toys Buzz plays for hours with a pipe cleaner and Tallulah a ball of tin foil expensive toys a waste of money on them two

When people are adopting a cat from the rescue I work for I always say not to buy an expensive bed as they never seem to use it but prefer, as you say, the hooded litter tray or possibly, if allowed, under the duvet or some other snug hidey-hole. They do love to get inside a cardboard box too if given one. Some of our fosterers get one of those long shallow banana boxes from the supermarket for pregnant cats as they are perfect for mum-cat and a litter of kittens to lie in together. They always use them. We do add a nice snug fleece at the bottom of course.

I love the photo Oma. My cat has a double bed which I make into an apple pie bed with an old sheet and quilt on top. She spends most of her time in there when she isn't on a lap. Spoilt cat!

My DD only ever gets rescue cats , Tallulah is only a kitten herself but has already had a litter poor baby she had no interest in her kittens so they had to be fostered to another cat , the rescue centre had her done before DD took her home shes quite happy being a house cat no interest with the outside world but when Buzz goes out she frets and goes from front to back window to see if he is there and when he comes in she gives him a good wallop then washes him its so funny to see . her latest trick is sitting on him so he cant move , he is twice her size but already hes hen pecked

Aren't cats funny and so interesting Oma. Different characters can be clearly seen. Dominant kitten yet not keen to go outside. Henpecked older cat that is more adventurous - they are just like people it seems - never two quite the same. Love 'em of hate 'em they are truly fascinating. Talulah looks so cute and clearly she is a very curious little kitten too.

That's so true BL. We have 3 cats, 4 until very recently. They all have totally different characters and habits.
