    Love at First Sight.

Not humans but DD1 and her new dog. A lady she knew had adopted a rescue dog from Greece. Sadly the lady unexpectedly died and her neighbour asked DD if she knew of anyone who would take her, worried that she would have to go to a kennel for homeless dogs. DD brought her here, but we don’t want a dog now, we’ve had 40 years of assorted dogs, all rescue and all wonderful, we don’t want the responsibility or the expense now. DD took the dog home, introduced her to her 2 other dogs and all was surprisingly well! The dog doesn’t leave her side and is so obedient. She takes DD’s slipper to bed, and last week, emptied the washing basket and selected various items of DD1’S clothing and took them to bed too! Maybe she just likes the horse pong. 😆
It’s definitely a mutual love affair, long may it last!

Grauntie - that's a smart doggy - she knows a good human when she see one, and has clearly adopted your DD. Seriously, what a lovely dog and very affectionate.

It's funny about slippers - Cooper, my DS2's dog, always goes and gets one of my slippers when he's here. He carried it around and sits with it bu never chews it - unlike toys, blankets etc. It's always the same slipper too.

She is a ‘leaner’ too! I love a dog that leans on me.

Grauntie, so do I! You can borrow Eva and Cooper if you like - they're both good leaners. If Eva's worried about anything she'll sit on your feet and face whatever is bothering her!
