    My Poppy

After having a relapse this morning my poor darling Pops had to be PTS this afternoon, she lost the use of her back legs so suddenly and I rushed her to the vets and left her there for a couple of hours whilst they arranged a scan for her it showed a growth on her kidneys, and her bladder was also compromised causing incontinence the vet said she could try and help her but she would only last a few months at best and there is no way I would let an animal suffer at all.So goodbye my baby girl enjoy your walks with your dad he is waiting for you xxxx

Glamm - I'm so, so sorry. The timing couldn't be much worse, not that there's ever a good time to lose a beloved pet. I hope you can take comfort that you were brave and gave her the gift of being free of pain. I'm sure she'l be enjoying lovely walks and cuddles with your John. I'll know you will miss her and keep expecting to see he in her usual places - that's what we all do, isn't it. John and Poppy will be watching over you together.

Sending you love and hugs. xxxx

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments,it has truely been the most horrible week this past week.
I have to admit I lost the plot last night and shouted at the both of them for leaving me alone at such a dreadful time, after a good cry I gave myself a good shake and thought of all the poor souls fighting this awful disease.

I went for my 1st covid injection this morning I nearly didn't make it as I overslept with having no little fur ball to wake me to go out into the garden I managed to get to the clinic with 5mins to spare just got to wait for next one now which could be between 3-12weeks.

Glamm - if anyone's entitled to have a good cry and a bit of a rant it's you (along with all the other grannies who've suffered sad losses). I've said this before - there's no hierarchy of grief, or sorrow or worry. It's all really awful, and sometimes friends look on feeling helpless, but caring deeply.

I'm so glad you've had your first injection today - I hope you don't get any side effects. Be kind to yourself, and remember it is ok to cry and get angry. Sending you love and hugs. xxxx

Well done Glamma. You got yourself together and had your vaccine.
Shouting and losing the plot is totally understandable and allowed at such a time.
