    Snakes dumped

Has anyone read SKY news about a bag of 14 snakes dumped in a pillow case outside a fire station ?
Well another 16 were dumped outside the same fire station yesterday .

This Fire station is directly opposite my MIL's there is also a Mc Donalds next door , how irresponsible of some people , not only was this very cruel to these snakes in this weather they could easily have died of cold but what if a child had opened the pillow case and been bitten

MIL's house faces the fire station she said RSPCA were there for quite a while , believe me the owners will be known its a tight community and there will be someone who knows who these idiots are .

There is no excuse at all , if they cannot care for them anymore there are plenty of Snake enthusiasts or animal rescue's they could have contacted ,
They were all well cared for so it makes it all the more odd someone would do this dump 30 snakes in a couple of days

I hope they are identified and arrested ,

      I'm speechless Oma!
If they must dump snakes (cruel as you say to the animals, and a danger to the public) dump them at the RSPCA!

Saw it in the paper this morning! It's like people dumping their rubbish on country roads, why can't they just take it to the tip. How anyone can supposedly 'care' for animals and then just dump them is beyond me.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Thing that got me is it's the school holidays and this McDonald's is very popular with the kids . Even term time there are two schools within walking distance where the older kids go at lunch time and little ones go with parents after school.

Luckily the Fire station is fully manned 24 hours a day . Maybe this is why they left them there knowing they would be discovered . But if the Snakes had not moved they may have thought it was just rubbished dumped and ignored it .

WG I hate when people are so lazy they just dump wherever they like

Unbelievable! I'd not heard about this, but how cruel.

That's unbelievable, Oma - and incredibly cruel. As you say they could have died of the cold, or could have bitten someone.

If they all belonged to the same person, 30 snakes is an awful lot to keep in a domestic environment. It all sounds very odd, but at least they are being cared for now. How can people be so cruel!
