On last night's footage, a cheeky magpie eating the food just before 7 am!

It's not such a problem about the magpie, as they are there in the daytime, by which time the hedgehogs have had their fill and gone to bed!
The slugs which migrate to the hedgehog food (and provide extra food for the hedgehogs!) I find quite revolting. OH plans to round them up and liberate them in a field somewhere. A few days ago we had another two hedgehog sighting. Usually they either skirt around each other, or may make little disgruntled snuffling noises if both are at the feeding spot.
On this particular film the hedgehog-who-isn't Hermione was spotted eating, drinking and wandering about several times. A couple of hours later along comes Hermione. She went up to the other, smaller hedgehog at the food bowl and gave it a big shove!! It curled up into ball and laid low. Hermione stormed off in a huff!! Next film showed the other one walking away!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

How interesting it must be to watch the wildlife in your garden at night. Slugs make me feel a little sick.....not as much as Ron (Won Won) in Harry Potter tho.🤢"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
