          Aww thank you Daisy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mum. Whose parents were warned she may not make it through the night when ill as a small child!

              Thanks Nan2!
She had a lovely time, and the first family get together including her since before she went into the care home.
More cake and candles waiting for her in the care home we were told!!

Gem, what a gorgeous photo of your Mum - she looks very happy. She's doing well at 93 for someone who was so poorly as a child.

Did she eat all that huge slice of cake? I'm expecting she did, after seeing the size of the coffee she had on your last trip out, bless her.

No she didn't Daisy - but she took it back with her!

As for some reason she had eaten hardly any lunch earlier, we ordered her a ham sandwich first, so not much room for cake

I'm sure she enjoyed the cake later. Perhaps she was too busy anticipating the afternoon tea and seeing all of you together aster so long, but having a sandwich first was a good idea.
