Thank you everyone. Much appreciated.
I had a lovely birthday. T said it was a surprise but when he told me 1 wear a nice dress. 2 be ready to leave at 10.15. 3 o cards or messages from the family, it was pretty clear that it must be a lunch. It must be in Kent. 3 the family would be there.
And I was right.
I’ve read too many detective stories and sat in too many criminal courts no to have guessed that one.
It was at Updown Farm in Kent near Deal. We stayed overnight and then explored Walmer Castle on the way home.

Sum, that was a lovely birthday. What could be better than enjoying a good lunch with your closest family. I imagine the overnight stay was a happy bonus.

Sum1, thank you for sharing the photos. It's a lovely shot of you and T, and how lovely to have all the family together. Did the message on the card make you smile? The hotel you stayed in looks like a lovely building with plenty of character. What was the castle like?
