I am still in bed opening presents and cards. I will be lunching and dining out today!
Lunch with DD and GS1, and also GD and GS2 as a bonus as they are with DD1 when their parents celebrate SIL2's 5oth a bit more!
Dinner tonight is with friends. A group of 10 of us. A nice birthday, and the sun is shining

Thank you everyone, I had a lovely birthday
The children and DD waited outside the cafe. They arrived just before me and saw me walking down from where I parked my car. The children all sang Happy Birthday s I walked across the zebra crossing to them
It was so nice to be with them and DD for lunch .
I spent the afternoon in the garden relaxing, and we had tea and birthday cake kindly provided by OH.
A lovely meal in the evening, Despite being one chef down they did very well and we all enjoyed everything.
A meal out with the 2 friends I worked with this coming Wednesday and that concludes the 2023 birthday celebrations!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β UnknownComment

Gem, 3 of your 4 grandchildren, DD1, OH and good friends are what makes a great birthday, plus of course nice food and birthday cake! I'm glad you're spreading the celebrations over a few days.
