Is it possible that the font, size, colour etc that you choose for your posting be remembered so that you don't have to choose it each time? Also tried to send a private message to someone today and the message said you are not authorised to use this area. So, not sure if I did something wrong or it is a teething problem.
Did you manage to pm in the end Avo as I cant get my head around it I had the same message as you
I did just get a PM from Oma, in reply to mine so she has figured out how to do it. Try sending me another PM to admin, and then if I get it I will reply and then all you have to do is look at the top of the box, where it says REPLY DELETE etc and press the reply tag.
OK, Avo the first of your questions I can answer with PM's seem to be difficult for another member here too, and I can confirm you are authorised to use PM's but I am running a test case with Qwerty at the moment and will come back if that is successful. All your permissions are OK on your profile, so try again with the instructions, if you can find them, on here for Qwerty. It could be a teething problem and it means I will go back into the control panel and have a look around and see what can be done.
The 2nd post you made, yes, if you have a slow internet connection your post will take time to load up. That 'working' means it is trying to place your post on here. I am lucky to have fast broadband at most times, so I get an immediate response when I post.

I've tried PMing Admin following the instructions you gave, but I get this
"New Message. Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page". I'm on my IPad. It's not urgent, I'm just trying to find my way round. Loving it so far...clever ladies. Huge pat on the backs. Many many thanks for all your hard work.
"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."
Hi Mamar, it's possible some functions of the forums don't work on iPad or iPhone or Smartphones. Laptops and desktops are all OK. Again with PM's most members seem to be OK, and it's a question of finding your way around which takes time! We know this for sure!!! X
Sorted out logging in on both Mac and iPad this morning. Just checked GN and see that everyone has moved over. Sad event but much better here. Thanks again to all of you doing the work.
Be careful when blindly following the Masses.
Sometimes the 'M' is silent.
Timing perfect yes indeed. It takes a time to get used to everything being a little difference but personally my old brain needs all the challenges it can get these day. Can't afford to vegetate

Can you tell me how I can stop two fonts and sizes appearing on my posts when I use my lap top and also I was trying to post this on my laptop and it wouldn't let me, it kept jumping up. It might be because it is my work laptop but it is very annoying. Is there a way of customising the font etc. I see that Avo has managed it. On my laptop there is a line of items including font etc. but it won't let me click on it to change the font or size. Is this because it is not enabled or because I am thick (red face icon as I cannot get them on here)
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
I found this annoying too Zizi. I write it THEN I enlarge it and colour if is I feel like it. I find that if you put a full stop and then make a space to write more it reverses to its original type, which is frustrating and another one of the gremlins we will try to iron out X
Oh Aggie, you're not old. I agree it's tricky. I'm still struggling with finding my way, but I was like that with any other forum I joined. It takes a bit of time.
