    GOODBYE TO 2015

This year will always be special for us Admins - it's seen the birth of GransRus, and it seems a good time to say a big 'Thank You' to all those people who have made it possible!

    Who am I talking about?

    ALL OF YOU LOVELY LADIES

You've stuck with us through the days of 'we don't know why that's happening' and 'sorry, but we'll get it sorted', you've joined us for naughty goodies at the Tea Rooms and silly riotous evenings in the Granny's Rest, you've remembered each other's birthdays, cheered each other's triumphs and successes, and always been there with words of wisdom and comfort when needed. You've entertained us with poems, jokes, games and the recently added Story Corner. You've shared the lives of your grandchildren with us through giggles and tears, first steps, first days at school and the ups and downs of the teenage years.

Our Mods have done a great job watching out for the bad guys and banishing them into oblivion, moving posts and threads around to make everything neat and tidy, answering questions and helping everyone find their way round this new place.

So, from all three of us, a huge,

    Gemini, Elisi and Daisy xxx

And three cheers from me you lovely ladies for all the work you have done and made it such a pleasure to log on to this fab forum, this past year has been traumatic for me with the fall I had and the ongoing problems it has caused (still very painful ladies) and the ups and downs with future DIL (bridezilla reincarnated) terrible xmas with her but story for a later date I feel.Even though I don't post every day as I wish I could I read up on posts and keep in the loop and see what a grand job you all do in supporting each other and the humour is second to none,so well done to you all and looking forward to a great 2016.love Glamma xxx

And a huge thank you to you all for making it all possible. It's lovely to come here and chat or just see what everyone is up to. I may not post very often but I still feel part of a lovely group of friends, which is very important as the number of our friends seem to be diminishing as we get older.

Best wishes to everyone for a very happy and healthy 2016 x

Same sentiments from me too ladies. 2015 hasn't been the best for us on a personal level but I've had wonderful support, advice and best of all a sympathetic ear from all on GRUS.It's a relief to be able to unburden our private thoughts and fears to non-judgmental friends when we can't always talk to those actually around us.Of course there have also been good times to share and celebrate. The gentle teasing and banter has made us smile and laugh out loud sometimes
A million thanks to each and all especially the admins and mods.
I hope and pray we and all those we love and care for have a Healthy .Happy and Hassle-free 2016. xxxxxxe

Thanks ladies and I do mean all ladies involved in the awesome work you have done with this website.
This is honestly the best website that a grandma could have. Without your support and good humour my daily life would be quite different.
iLook forward to seeing how the site continues to grow and change !
                Happy New Year to all
