Setting up Photo Albums

You can, of course, post photos directly into a post, but if you'd prefer to put them into photo albums, here's how:

SETTING UP A PHOTO GALLERY

1 Go into your User Profile (by clicking on your avatar)

2 Click on "Media". (The last of 4 buttons - Activities, Subscribed, About, Media)

3 Click on "Add Photos". This will take you to your Photo Gallery area. Key in a photo gallery title, eg, "On the beach".

4 Click on "Write something". I put 'Beautiful South Coast Beaches'

5 Click on the camera icon top left of the text box.

6 SET PRIVACY SETTINGS if you wish. Note: Users = all members; Subscribers = friends

7 Click on UPLOAD PHOTOS to retrieve pictures from your computer, repeating for each photo you want to upload.

8 Click POST

Note: Maximum file size = 2Mb

You can put any of your Gallery photos into a thread if you wish. Good luck, and happy posting.

Done it its quite easy but I got confused who can see I clicked Subscribers I think that private and just friends isn't it ?

Ladies how do I see my friends list and who if any got my requests ????

Oma - go to your User profile/click on your avatar and click on Subscribed and Subscribers - each should have a little box with the number in each category. When you click on them you get the list. Yes, Subscribers = 'friends' in old money. I must admit I prefer to word friends - it's friendlier - but you also get a list of the threads you've subscribed to. I'm sure we'll get used to it, and the more we go into our User Profiles etc the more familiar they will become. You're all doing really well.

Oh wise ladies can you tell me how to delete an album, is there a limit as to hoe many we can put on

Qwerty, open the album, or photo, that you want to delete . Top right there will be a little pencil icon. Click on that to edit, and you will see the delete option, below the photos. Let us know if you have any problems .

Thanks Gemini but I have done this several times I delete them into a little waste paper bin when I do the last one a message comes up saying either upload or cancel and I go round in circles have clicked cancel have clicked upload whatever happens the picas are still there

No Qwerty, it's not you. I have trued to delete a photo on my Louisa May test account, which has no admin or mod abilities. I can't delete, but keep getting a message. I had a quick look on your account but didnt see anything to change on there. We will look into it further. I wonder if anyone else has managed to delete photos or albums?
