We have pondered on the subject of YEO access for a while now.
We feel that YEO membership is a privilege granted to regular posters.
Many of our members have poured out their hearts and confided worries on YEO. It was set up as a safe area for Platinum members - long term members known to us. However we have realised over time that some Platinum members do not post. Some haven't visited the forum for years, others visit regularly but do not post.
We asked you the members for your opinions, and the overwhelming response was that you wanted YEO access limited to members who take part in the forum. We set up YEO as a secure space for you. We have taken on board your opinions, and our own.
From today any formerly Platinum member who hasn't posted for a year or more is now a Gold member. They can see and post across the forum, excluding YEO and Journals. Those sections are now invisible to them.
We do not want to ban or exclude members, and we welcome all posts. If a Gold Member wants to resume posting they will be welcome and their status can be updated to Platinum.
YEO access has always been subject to Admin approval, and we feel that this is an important change which needed to be made.
