As our regular members know, YEO stands for for Your Eyes Only.
At the last forum, where a lot of us met, we asked for a long time to be given a private space, which was eventually granted. When we started this new forum, we knew it was an important feature for members. Not all use it, but most do and it is there if and when you need it.
This is a space where we feel more confident to discuss some matters which we wouldn't like the casual browser of the forum or brand new member to read.
All our Platinum members are able to view YEO. To everyone else the whole section is invisible. It is down to Admin to grant Platinum status and open up YEO. A new member would have to be a member for some time, and make a fair number of applicable posts (not just the I agree, or Me too posts which can be used to bump up the post count) before this happens, and it is at the discretion of Admin whether it happens at all.
Our newest members Sunshine, is a long standing and close friend of Daisy, so we were able to grant her a fast track to Platinum and YEO
It would usually take a lot longer.
For a while now Admin have been considering the matter or YEO and lapsed members. It is a privilege to have access to YEO, and members are opening their hearts there. It somehow doesn't seem right that what we post there can be read by people who never ever say anything, not just on YEO, but on the forum at all.
We feel that in fairness to those who post there, it is unfair that what is written can be read by those who no longer take part.
The answer, we feel is to remove YEO access from those who either don't visit the forum at all, or who do but never post.
This will not apply to any member who has had too much going on to post for while.
If a member hasn't been active for a year or more however it seems fair to remove their YEO access.
YEO access can of course be reinstated, if members become active again.
I hope none of you feel this is unfair.
It is something Admin had discussed for some time, and not acted on so far.
