    Jus rol ready rolled pastry.

I made 6 chicken pies this morning
Now, i have to own up and say i used jus rol shortcrust pastry.
I have always made my own pastry, but decided to give jus rol a go.
4 pies went in the freezer, and we had 2 for dinner.
It was nice. Pastry ready rolled to right thickness.only needed cutting out.
No messing about flouring the worktop,so much easier to clean.
I'm tempted to buy some more,to keep in, Can also freeze it.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

We buy the Jus roll Flaky its much easier than making it and these days much better quality than it was years ago , all the top chefs use ready made these days ,
B always makes his own shortcrust but if I'm making pies I buy jus roll , so much easier
Aldi do there own make and that's very nice too

I also use Jus rol and usually have one in the freezer. However if you do freeze it and then make something it’s advisable to cook it straight away as you’re not supposed to refreeze the pastry.

I have some in the freezer but keep forgetting to defrost it. So much easier and good results every time. Probably not as delicious as pastry made by my MIL or Stepmother!

I always make my own shortcrust pastry (on the rare occasions I bake!) but buy ready made puff pastry - I've never even tried making that! I also buy the gluten-free versions of any pastry - it's much better than I can make and save a lot of faffing about!
