EASY CORNED BEEF AND ONION PIES.

    Shortcrust pastry
    Tinned extra lean corned beef
    Onions

Slice onions and fry in a little oil, cut the corned beef into thin slices and add to the onion. Fry until the corned beef softens. Season to your own taste, but I don't bother.
Grease and line plate with pastry, add corned beef mixture and cover with more pastry.
That's all there is to my recipe.
I had some corned beef mixture left,so put it in a foil dish and covered it with mashed potato. Sometimes when I make this,i add tinned baked beans before the potato.

I suppose you could add garlic (we don't like it) to the meat and onions or vegetables, but I serve the veggies separate.

Allow to cool before packing for the freezer.

Nanto - thank you for that recipe - as Clover says, 3 ingredients - great. But it sounds nice and tasty and just the thing for a cold winter's night. I'd probably add a dash of something - Worcestershire Sauce or tomato ketchup.

Worcestershire Sauce or tomato ketchup would be good.

I just prefer my food plain and simple.
