Think I will give this a try. Do you make it Elisi? I take it this is an American recipe, because they measure ingredients in cups.

It sounds delicious, I will try it!
It will be American, as you say Nan2, cups are an American measurement. An American lady I stayed with few times in Illinois made raspberry bread, which was yummy,

It sounds very tasty. I'm wondering it the recipe means self-raising or plain flour with there being bicarb/baking soda in it?

Plain flour ladies, and yes it is from the States, although an Australian friend gave it to me!

Sounds like something the Ghastly Beastlies (GCs) might enjoy. Thanks Elisi.

Aren't Aussie cups and U.S. Cups slightly different?

Yes Zizi, but Jenny passed this onto me, via Brisbane, from her friend in Virginia

Found this for Australian and New Zealand measurements.

The Right CupThe standard cup used in Australian and NZ Cooking is 250ml, the standard metric cup. Australian and NZ cooking cup measurements are rounded out in the following way. This recipe is very international being American but passed on by an Australian.

                    Metric Cups and Spoons
                    1 cup 250ml
                    3/4 cup 190 ml
                    2/3 cup 170 ml
                    1/2 cup 125ml
                    1/3 cup 80ml
                    1/4 cup 60ml
                    1 tablespoon 20ml
                    1 teaspoon 5ml
                    Dessertspoon
                    1 dessertspoon = 2 teaspoons

When measuring other ingredients, the weight amount will be affected by the density of the ingredients – for example 1 cup of flour will weigh a lot more than 1 cup of Rice Bubbles.
