    Gluten-free White Bread recipe

This is the recipe my DIL2 uses. She's experimented a lot and this is what she's come up with. It is very good! She uses a Panasonic bread maker - I don't know if it makes any difference if you have a different machine.

    BOWL 1 (Dry Ingredients)

300 g GF White bread flour
    150 g GF Self-raising flour
    1 tsp Salt
    2 tbs Sugar
    2 tsp Xanthan Gum

    Stir gently to mix together

    BOWL 2 (Wet ingredients)

    330 ml Tepid water
2 Eggs, beaten (I think she uses large eggs)
    1 tbs White wine vinegar
    6 tbs Sunflower oil

    Whisk together with a fork

    - Pour wet ingredients into bread machine

    - Sieve or pour gently dry ingredients on top and spread with fingers to flatten out and reach the edges. Don't mix!

    - Add 2 tsp of dried yeast - just sprinkle it on top.

A few of us here have them FQ, they are very good and easy to use.

I wouldn't be without mine. I never buy bread as it's so easy to make it and you know exactly what's gone into it.

My DIL says she also makes a (nearly) 50% brown by using 150g of GF brown/wholemeal flour and 150g of white. She's still working on a recipe for 100 % brown!

Can anyone recommend a make? Which ones do you have Gem and Daisy?

FQ - Mine's a Panasonic. I can't remember the model number, but I'll check! My first one lasted about 12 years, and I could probably have got parts to replace the dispenser, a new pan and paddle, but we decided to treat ourselves to a new one and the new shape sits better on the worktop.

Mine is a Panasonic too, probably because it's what others here recommended
