    Salad Time

This latest spell of warm sunny weather has made my thoughts turn to salads.

What are your favourite salad ingredients or recipes?

And salad dressings - out of a bottle or jar, or do you make your own?

We love any kind of salad here Daisy. I mostly make my own dressing from a cookery book by Jane Grigson. It has plenty of parsley and garlic with onion, vinegar and sugar and olive oil. Heavenly!

Grauntie - that dressing sounds fabulous.

I don't like salads at all. When i make a salad for hubby,i usually have a cheese omelette.
He prefers salad with something hot, such as scampi or chicken.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I love salads , I had a chicken salad on Thursday for tea ,
I love cucumber but can only eat it without the skin , im intolerant to the skin also I cant eat spring onions for the same reason unless they are in a stir fry it kills off the enzymes that causes the pain ,
Apart from them I will have any kind of salad ,
I only ever put Balsamic glaze on my salad or Salad cream , cant stand Mayo , never use salad dressing .
Nanto B is the same he likes a few chips with his too, he finds its not enough otherwise , but he does like a Ham salad , we partial to Salad sandwiches too ,

Qwerty hates salad she says its a plate of grass
Im not fat just 6ft too small

LOL, Oma, I thought of Qwerty too !

I love salad, any salad really.

There are two favourite salads which we often have. Prawn, avocado and hard boiled egg, with salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and new potatoes. The other is similar, with chicken instead of the prawns. If we didn't have the new potatoes we would have crusty bread.
I like honey and mustard dressing (low cal version) and salad cream. I don't put mayo on salads, but like to dip chips in it
We often have a baked potato with salad, usually with tuna.

Qwerty - when I started this thread I had a little bet with myself as to what you'd say. And I lost. I thought you'd say 'Rabbit food'!!!!
